After years in the financial industry as a Technical Writer, I finally decided to enter a creative journey. I started needlepoint when I was about ten and then in college, at the University of Vermont, I began to knit. I can't tell you how many of those Icelandic sweaters we made! I have spent so many years knitting and doing needlepoint until they introduced me to rug hooking. Since then I have been "hooked"!!
Lincoln Farm Design started 4 years ago when I become hooked! Once I completed my first project I was frustrated at the lack of designs and projects available! Therefore, I started creating and designing my own!! This new approach to rug hooking has taken over and Lincoln Farm Design has never looked back.
Rug hooking allows me to create my own designs as I work and gives you the freedom to experiment along the way. Not only can you experiment with the designs but with the fibers as well. What a pleasure to use chenille, mohair and wool from Uruguay in one project! I hope you will feel the same way once your first project is complete.
